Maui in the eyes of an intern

It takes more time to make a movie this time. I just received my tripod and I'm now ready to the fullest to start. The concept is there, the intro is building further and further and I hope to finish this project in two weeks. 

Yesterday we filmed with both GoPro and from land. I crashed about 80% of my moves so this was a bad start considering the action that should come in the movie. I hope to get some more shots today.

 Some time ago I tested the 3.4 Firelight. Super compact and small. Actualy it was the first time I used a sail this small. Before 3.5 was my smallest. Well this one is Pozo aproved!

Development

There is an idea. From that idea you start brainstorming and out of that the first models are made in the computer. After the computer the first prototype comes. You test it. It sucks, or is really good. You do some adjustments and test it again. Check out Tom Hammerton at the point of adjusting one of our latest prototypes. Air Time

Last weekend was Nickys birthday. As a present she had her first flying lesson. We went from Kahului, Maui to Kalaupapa, Molokai. 3 persons, small plane, clear sky, crazy! It was a super nice start of the day following in some partying on the beach. The wind is strong these days, so we try to get some freestyle footage this week so I can start on a clip again.

Molokai p.1

This saterday we went on a crazy trip to neighboor island Molokai to check out the conditions, chill on the beach and sail trew the channel. So for this part one we have the boat. A lot of people got sick on the first way to Molokai. Some throwing up and it was all fine again. Jeff and I took our windsurf gear to see if Molokai is good for windsurfing, and there is where I stop and show you part two later this week ;).

Red Fire

For me and a lot of others Maui is about surfing. But for others Maui is Waui. The hippy community is pretty big. Every sunday before sunset there is a drum circle and bonfire on little beach. A lot of naked people, fire, drums and some tourists. Next sunday more naked stuff ;)

Road To Hana

This week my mom is here to see if I eat my vegetables, this off course means we're are doing the usual tourist stuff. Also a lot of fun and it takes a long time. Two days of hiking, snorkling, eating, eating followed by a good night rest. Hope to get some nice sailing this week. The water is super crowded with all the photoshoots that are happening on the moment.
