Crazyness

Supermarket crazyness. This is how we roll in the US. 2 hamburgers?.... NOOOO 30!  1 liter of Coke..... Hell noo. At least 50 cans. So that's how it goes. To live cheap on Maui you buy Bulk. Everything in big loads. Here are some examples, but I will definately post again, because I love Bulk.

Out of Control

Today 4.4 overpowered action. Sailed at Uppers Kanaha, Camp one and it was sick! Super difficult because there is chop coming from every side. Could try the 4.4 to the max. I also tried the 16 Black project freestyle fin. Good grip and slide. Tommorrow we're going to set some GPS records and some crazy supermarket stuff. Hopefully I can also try the 4.0 Freestyle pro tommorrow.

Night

It seems that I'm making more pictures during the night that during the day. Today is testing day though, so hopefully I can get on the new 4.4 Freestyle pro with Patrik 90 and let somebody take some pictures. Some action footage now and than is always fun :P.

Kona one

Windsurfing, surfing, swimming, designing..... everything is happening here on the island. Wind has changed its direction for Kona these days. Really light but good for an early morning surf and sometimes a later windsurf session. Tommorrow some rest and work on the all new Hotsails sail bags. Freestyle pro is going to be a crazy one! Keep you updated. Aloha!

Bonfire

It is weekend, Nicky arrived, nice bonfire at the beach and today it will be time to hit the water again. Probably for some wavesailing at uppers.

 Jeff is ready to burn the christmas tree down to the ground!

Action

Freestyle, wave, slalom, you can do it all. I do hav eto say that this was the bumpiest freestyle session ever. Timing is crucial and there is chop everywhere. Kinda like Fuerte but the other way around. So freestyle was hard and really ahve to get used to the conditions, but the wave session afterwards was a lot of fun. Not really big and good to try stuff on.

The Office

The office / the people at the office / the stuff in the office. Woowww so much to experience when you're here on the island. I'm now here for two days and had two completely different sessions. On with pretty big waves and I was on my Patrik trailerwave 78 and Hotsails Firelight 5.5. I never use a 5.5. And today There were some waves, but definately not as high as yesterday. Way way smaller. But with a 4.2 pretty powered up. 

Below you can find Chris Freeman working his @$$ off. Than we got Bart de Zwart, who charged Jaws yesterday. Some good pictures are allready circulating on facebook. And last but not least we got Tom Hammerton, Hot saildesigner. 

I started on some small stuff. We'll be doing a video interview soon and a lot more coming up!

The trip

From super rainy Amsterdam, to Burger King monster small Coca-Cola to the island of Maui. I arrived. Soon I will start doing some projects, surf a lot and keep you more updated on how life on the island is.

2011 Overview

2011 has been different. It definately has its ups and downs. I did a few PWA events that were really fun and did some nice trips. But I also lost my dad a view months ago. Now I'm getting ready for 2012. I will go to Maui for 6 months and my study is going really well. 

My forecast for 2012 looks a lot better than 2011, I hope it will be good for all you guys to.
